carb swapped fc

Anyone else on here done a carb swap on an fc? I've got a 91 that is currently running with a weber 48 dco, had the car dyno tuned but is still slowly running rich at cruising speeds. It's also heavily street ported. This is my first rotary and then engine only has about 1000 miles on a rebuild.

welcome to the board.

how rich is rich?

also, it might help to post what you're currently running (jets, tubes, etc.).

It idles fine at around 12.5 when first starting out runs great but at a steady cruise it drops down in the tens then the idle gets real choppy ill have to give the jetting info when I get home from work. Give it a few revs and its running fine again. It's weird it just ever so slowly gets rich at constant rpms

With the key turned the fuel gauge reads 3. When running it bounces from 3.5 to 4.

how accurate do you think your gauge is? maybe before you start playing with jets and such, you should try decreasing the pressure some and see what happens?

I've been contemplating it I guess it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot. I'll have to try it tomotrow and see how it goes.

Where exactly would it be located? I actually bought the car with the carb swap done already but it wasn't running so I'm a little unfamiliar with everything.

If you remove the needle it will be inside the hole.from factory it will have two holes. you just have to drill a third hole.

out of the box the Webers are not designed for rotaries.

Yeah my carb is definitely still stock no mods. I'm interested in how you go about this process though.
