Carb flooding 1st gen

Hey guys my carb just started flooding it drove fine yesterday and started up fine this morning then went to start it up again this afternoon and won't start due to the carb flooding. Even after the fuel pump kicks off the gas keeps pouring in the carb. The only thing I can thing is my floats are off. Anyone have any other ideas or suggestions? Before I take off the carb. 1st gen 84 Please and thanks! BalcoRX7

Looks like in another post you stated the carb has been rebuilt . Did you change the fuel needle and seat? Because it's a big no no if you look on the forum Jeff20b and others have stated numerous times that these needles and seats just don't seat well. If you have the original swap them back in. If not I believe Mazdatrix carries oem needles and seats otherwise you can check if someone on here has a pair the can spare.

I left the originals when I rebuilt I mainly replaced all gaskets and O-rings

Did you adjust the floats at all ??? If not then try hitting the top of the carb a couple time. I have has a couple incidents where the needle wasn't sealing for having flip the carb upside and downside up and moving it around and what was happening is that the floats where stuck down . After hitting it up top a couple time they went loose and start to move freely againz
