Hi everyone, I pretty recently bought an 88 FC, it runs and drives great and pretty much all the electronics work. The only issue I'm having with it is the car stalls on start ups occasionally. When this happens I just give the car some gas and then it begins to run normally. Also this seems to only happen when the car is warm. Just wondering if any of you know what the problem might be and if I have anything I should be super worried about, thanks

 

My best guess would be dirty injectors. I'd look into that first. Hot start issues can also be due to low compression though, and since you just got the car it's worth it to test compression if you haven't already. Get/rent a $20 normal piston compression tester from an autoparts store and use pliers to take out the Schrader valve. Disconnect your EGI fuses and have a friend crank the engine while it's warm while you make sure each bounce in the pressure gauge has OK compression (each bounce is a different side of the rotor). If your phone can do slow-motion recording it's a lot easier to record it then play it back in slow-mo. Not only will you have the piece of mind, but mentioning that your compression is fine when asking for help nips any 'check compression' replies in the bud.

You should probably check your injectors to see if they are stuck or sticking.
