93' FD stalls drops revs at idle, occasionally stalls out (A/C ISSUE?)

An explanation. It doesn't happen all the time, I can drive for an hour and it won't happen, or I can drive for an hour and it will happen every 10 minutes. I usually notice it the most when stopped at a light and in neutral, the car will just stall out if I don't catch it and give it gas before the RPMs drop too low. A little putter and then done.

HOWEVER. It does NOT do it when I have the A/C running on any setting. That said, the actual A/C system is deleted, but turning the A/C on runs the fans on the radiator. I am hard pressed to believe this is an overheating issue, as it will sometimes do it within 10 minutes of starting the car, barely giving it time to warm up.

I've just changed the oil, oil filter, fuel filter, and coolant. Previous owner told me he changed all the vacuum lines less than 2 months ago. Also did a compression test last weekend and the engine is running great.

I'm really suffering for help trying to figure this out, as turning the A/C to drive around is more of a temporary fix, and there is a real issue here.

Thanks in advanced!

I'm experiencing the same problem. But the reverse, only happens when the a/c is turned on. Car stalls when shifting to first gear or braking from high speed. And also only when the engine is fully warmed up. No issues coming from cold start.

All stock, changed oil, oil filter, cleaned radiator, new coolant.

Next is changing the coolant temp sensor as I read a similar issue from another thread.

I suggest downloading the Factory Service Manual from the 3rd Gen FAQ sticky at the top of this section. It has trouble-shooting. I would also be looking at the dashpot for the stalling off-throttle issue.
As for OP's question about the A/C switching on the fans, it's hard to tell for sure from your description but that's probably normal. The fan speed uses inputs to determine speed and one of those is the A/C. Take a read thru this---> https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...ntrols-876767/
