Car not warming up to operating temperature?

Hello guys, just bought an 88 gtu and the car doesn't blow hot air out of the vents after even an hour of driving. The temp gauge on the dash doesn't go over 1/4 of the way up ever. If I push the car pretty car warm air WILL come out, but something tells me my neighbors won't like me redlining all winter to stay warm

Flush your cooling system, your heater core is plugged

Would be a good time to replace the thermostat also with a OEM one as well

Not familiar with the FC, but had similar problems with the mixer valve causing such symptoms on other cars if a flush doesn't improve things.

That's what I was thinking, to replace the thermostat, good call on a flush

"hey that bug on your car looks like Kim Kardashian"..click.....

To add info to the question, just to let you know that the stock S4 Temp gauge when warm usually sits about 1/3.
BUT I agree with flushing the system and replacing the thermostat with an OEM thermostat.
