Winter storage: How do you prep and maintain your FD?
This is my first FD winter... I'm hoping thta I can get some ideas on what you all do for maintaining the car for winter... both prep before you go into storage, as well as during the winter. Example:
how often do you start the car, if at all?
My storage will not have the capability to run a trickle charger.... how quickly will it drain without a charger? Should I just pull the battery?
With past cars, I inflate the tires to 50 psi to minimize flat spot potential. Any other FD tips I should consider?
Is Stabil in the fuel ok with the FD?
Thx!

I don't start the car during winter.
Unhook the battery or pull it. You really should buy a trickle charger.
Stabil is a must with a good amount of gas still in the tank.
I keep my tires at 32psi.
In past years I used a car cover but no point if you intend to work on the car during winter.
Search. Easy answer is to store it the same way you stored your NSX.

Leave the E brake down and put wood on the rear tires. That's it for me
Thx... In past years, I stored my NSX (and FBs) in my garage.FBs had absolutely no battery drain, so I could literally go 4 months without touching the car and it would fire up. NSX... not so much. only three weeks and the battery would be dead unless I kept a trickle charger in place.
This year I am using rental storage near the house, and will not have the ability to use a trickle charger. I will have some enough extra space for some parts and doing work, but no electricity.
My understanding that the FDs shouldn't sit too long without being run, else the antifreeze will wear the coolant seals or even damage the irons. True? That's why i was wondering if I should start it from time to time, despite the temperature.

I would start it every 2-3 weeks. Make sure the gas tank is full. Drive it when (if) weather permits. A few extra PSI in the tires wont hurt. You dont need to do anything else.
How cold of a winter? I wont touch my FD when its sub zero temps. I dont like to start the car when its below 20F. Have fresh 50/50 antifreeze in it and it wont hurt a thing. Tires must be inflated and if your tires hold flat spots next year then the rubber is too old and needs to be replaced. Some say to slowly turn the motor with a large breaker bar on the front shaft bolt (19mm?) just to keep the seals and springs moving but I rarely do. Remove the battery and bring it in the house. A full tank of gas will keep water out as well. You could open the gas cap one last time on a very cold day to get any water vapor out.
