Can't remove gauges on 1st gen RX7

TX Can't remove gauges on 1st gen RX7

Does anyone know how to remove the gague cluster on a 1984 GLS-SE RX7? Ive tried everything the gagues are blocked by a bottom piece that doesnt come out i can get them almost out but not completley am i missing something?

Assuming you have all the wire connectors, speedo cable and steering wheel removed, push the cluster back a little, one end more than the other, tilt the top forward and bring one end out first, all while holding your tongue just right.

Well my issue is I don't know how to get back there to remove the speedo cable and stuff I've gotten everything else out though

Go under the hood and pull on the tranny side of the speedo cable, push that slack into the firewall. That will give it more slack inside the dash so you can reach behind the cluster. Where the cable plugs into the cluster, there's a tab you push down on, on the cable, then pull it out of the backside of the speedometer.
