Disconnect the boost controller and run off the wastegate spring until you figure out how to use the controller. If an EBC isn't working, you hooked something up wrong or the settings aren't right.

What are you running for management? Any abnormal symptoms when you try to run it under boost? How much boost does it make?

Pull the TID off and check the turbo by turning and wiggling the shaft. Is it stiff to turn? Does it move from side to side excessively?

Also, check/test for leaks in the intake piping and for exhaust leaks before the turbo.

if i had to give a mesurement maybe a little less than a half inch if that sounds right either way it has more play than i think it should have. The play is mostly side to side by the way

Half an inch?! That thing is dead. A little play would be about 1MM. At half an inch I would be expecting the wheels to hit the housings.

Half an inch is a hell of a lot of play.

Well that's a very bad thing. If the fins broke off, they're probably now inside the engine. Your search may need to include a rebuild kit now.

It's a wonder you didn't hear it when they cam in contact with the engine.

With any luck, the fins are stuck in the intercooler.

What are the exact specs of the turbo you are looking at? 60MM could mean anything.

60-1 is a good choice, and that exhaust housing is a good one. You might go SLIGHTLY smaller if you drive primarily in the city, but don't worry about .91 being laggy.
