Ok so here's the deal I just bought a 90 vert. The check engine light is on, but turns off when I lay on the gas. It's the weirdest thing. I am new to owning a RX7 and the rotary motor thing.

Just wanted to see if anyone has had this happen to them before I take it to the shop, just in case it's an easy fix....

Just floor it everywhere. Problem solved!

I think there is a way to have the car spit out a trouble code and it will tell you whats wrong. You may want to do that first. I don't know the steps so you will have to search about it.
