Buying a 1st gen, what to look for.
Hey guys,
I'm looking to buy my first rotary and found a nice looking 1st Gen RX7 for sale the other day and was wondering what specific things to look for when buying one.
According to the seller, the car's mostly stock, the engine and gearbox have been reconditioned and the brakes replaced. It's also got a bridgeported 12a engine with the plates from a 13b, and despite a lot of looking over the forums I can't figure out what this means, or why he'd have done it.
Sorry if it's a bit specific, but I'd rather know what to look out for than mistakenly buy a lemon.
Thanks in advance!

Bad idea for a 1st rotary vehicle.
Bridgeported rotary engines are like piston engines with very aggressive cams. Lumpy idle, very poor fuel economy and if NA, reduction in low end torque. Depending on how the bridges were cut, reliability may have been greatly affected.
