Brake light not working

Hello,

i have a 93 rx7 and recently noticed the brake lights won’t work when I engage the break. I checked the fused and replaced the fuse but, but still nothing.

Is is there any other fuse or relay to check? I read somewhere about the brake sensor itself but do not know how to check that. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

There’s a switch on the pedal that can fail.

It’s just a simple plunger switch.
Edit:
Depressed it breaks the circuit. I think a visual check is usually telling but I suppose you could use a test light
