brake issue

brake issue

hey guys, weird thing is going on when i brake with my 87 FC TII.

when i depress the brake pedal, its gotta go maybe halfway before i actually get some stopping power.

the pads have atleast 50% left on them , i've bled the brakes, this is leading me to maybe my brake booster is going bad ??

any thoughts guys ?

Replacing old brake lines and changing the brake fluid would be a good place to start. Brake fluid absorbs water, which can lead to compression (and corrosion), and old rubber lines can expand under pressure. Both of these can affect pedal travel.

my buddies car had stretch marks on the brake lines from where it was expanding. changed to new lines and problem solved
