WA Bought the wrong carb, can it be adapted?

Hey everybody, I own an 82 RX-7 GSL. I needed to replace the carb, so I bought one on ebay, here is the link for that: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...L%3ALNLK%3AITM
This is not exactly the same carb as what I have in my car now. The most obvious difference I can see is a larger primary butterfly valve. I know that doesn't affect anything but it was the easiest way I could see to describe what model this new carb is. I'm going to try to install the new carb anyways, what do I need to look out for? Is there anything that won't work at all? Is this even possible?
Thanks,
Kurtis

I'm not rebuilding this carb, it's shot. We tried to install it and gave up too much is different. I think the seller was wrong about the years, looks like a 79 carb to my dad. I'll try to get my money back on it. Thanks anyways.

get a hold of parts cars and steal a few off there then see which works, if you don't need to rebuild it, then don't. if not i've got some junk ones off an '84 that i'll practically give away.

Good idea Gerald, I might try that. My dad's the one that works on the car though and he's a little (read: very) skeptical of buying anything where the seller hasn't proven his worth, understandably. Does this forum have any sort of feedback, maybe trusted sellers designation or something like that?

Might just do that rxtasy3. But luckily, seller e-mailed me back, said it looks like it was their mistake, said to ship it back and he'll try to find an 82 carb. If he can't find it he said he would refund. If it ends up going to that refund I'll post an ad here. Thanks everybody.

He said if when my package doesn't get there he hasn't found one he'd send a refund. He's got 100% positive rating on eBay I doubt he'd screw me but if he did that's what paypal is there for. I just shipped it off to him today I'll let you guys know what happens.
