Bose system

Im having trouble getting the speakers to work after puttin in an aftermarket radio. i bought it with one already in and it was staticy so i ripped it out bought another radio and hi-low converter and now the speakers dont even work but the radio turns on. anyone got any clues as too whats the problem??

To run a standard headunit in a bose speaker system you need a Scosche adapter or similar. Maybe this is what you mean by a high-low converter?

In any case, I would check the resistance of the speakers. Hopefully the first headunit didn't blow out the amps in the speakers.

Yea i been messing with that thing all day and im starting to get the feeling that the amps are shot. Whats my best bet replace the amps or rip out the bose system??

I took out the amps and replaced the caps on them. Total parts cost was $20.

But not everyone is willing to do soldering work.
