boost cut, overboosting? fuel cut. what is it?
Hey guys did a search but couldn't find anything
Also went on Google and has a search but was all relating to piston engines
Got my car worked on about 2 months ago got it tuned and put a electronic boost controller on as we'll. Problem is if I'm in 2nd or 3rd and flat the car it will hit higher boost then what the ebc is set on then cut out. Was only happening on 3rd now I noticed it in 2nd, it's not so bad if I ease into it though ..its a blitz sbcid, if on ac setting none of this will happen but wont boost past 6 pound even if its set on 10. but if set on wg on 10pound it will boost to 13.5 and cut out the car (ac= actuater wg= wastegate)
Why is it overboostIng and cutting out. Could it be some sort of ssafe tune setting with the computer. It's a s3 rx7 with s5 block, front mount, microtech .lt10, surge tank Bosch 040 and the ebc stock turbo
What I have found on Google for piston cars is actuatrer spring and back pressure from exhaust?? What do you guys think??

I don't know if this helps but my Haltech was set to 16Psi and then would shut off.
I hit 15psi a couple times,but when you are "foot down" it would go past too,and then silence!..Scare you too.like uh-oh!
maybe that could be your "problem" too??.Fail-safe?

More guys will chime in but you have to be patient.Sometimes the new guy gets overlooked.I try not to let that happen!

If you read the EBC instructions, there are probably two settings when it comes to wastegate options, but only one setting that you should be using for your particular set-up... Switchng between the two can cause engine damage. Especially when overboosting.
