MN clicking or ticking noise under hood

hi guys, i have another question. I have a fast pass clicking or ticking noise coming from under the hood when the key is turned to the ON position. it isnt the BAC. i unplugged it had didnt help. i had the intercooler setting the TPS when i noticed how to get it to go away. when you open the throttle about half way or a little less it stops. the throttle isnt touching the TPS when the sound stops. It doesnt sound like its the TPS nor can i feel it there. I can feel the clicking when i put my hand on the oil fill cap and the thick cable that goes to the back of the alternator. i can also feel it when the intercooler is attached. Any Idea???

Disconnect the Blue plug to the Relief Solenoid (found on the side of the engine along w/the other solenoids)and see if this changes anything.

And if no change then unplug the Switching Solenoid (cannot remember the plug color but it has a Blue/Red wire to it besides the B/W wire). And it could also be the Duty Solenoid as well (Plug w/the Blue/White wire in addition to the B/W wire).

To be honest, I have the same 'ticking' noise under my hood. It hasn't affected anything. I've fixed multiple things that I thought were the source of it. I may rebuild the turbo over the winter, because that is the last thing I can think of making the noise. It could even be as simple as a rattling heat shield... There are a number of random things. It seems like your alternator could possibly be the issue. You may want to have it tested. This can be done at any auto parts store for free. These cars are old, and getting older. Who knows what it could be? Haha
