blown motor

my friend just blew his motor on his 87 and was curious how much it is to replace or if it would just be cheaper to rebuild?

You can find a used JDM motor for about 800-1000, Could be low mileage but no garentee

Or

You can buy a Master Rebuild kit 800ish and a rebuild video 40ish and learn somethings that you may not have known before. But the problem is if you have a blown motor you will need at least a rotor housing and a rotor.

I would go with the rebuild. Anyone can rebuild these engines if you take your time.

How hard are they atually to rebuild with the right parts?

Is there a big difference in performance rebuild stuff and standard rebuild stuff?

$1600 for the engine, wiring harness, computer, clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, slave cylinder, drive shaft, rear end and axles is a good deal.
