Bit sluggish on the primary turbo!

Hello all, I have a fd 1992 touring and my wife says it’s my new obsession and I think she’s right 😂😂
I have recently taken off the cooling section as I was suffering a water leak and replaced all new gaskets and bolts ect. Quite an ordeal as loads had to come off air pump alternator ect. To be honest I love doing it, reminds me of working on engines with the old man back in the day! Anyway after rehousing the cooling system alternator air pump ect I also noticed a bit of gasket poking out of the top of the throttle body. So I ordered one and a few days later I also took it off and replaced that to. I then put all back together and fired up. As expected she fired right back up with no problems. But when I drover her I had very little boost and it drove like an non turbo car 😱😱😱 I spent a couple of days scratching my head and playing with everything but still very little boost. After this ordeal I took everything back off inspected it and put it all back on! I found nothing to explain the issue, but when i drove her boom....back to normal 💁‍♂️💁‍♂️💁‍♂️ But now i noticed the first turbo seems a touch sluggish. And my mind is blown has anyone had this or know what this could be please
thanks in advance peoples😜😜
Ps. Turbos are all good and spool fine 👍
stock sequential turbos
HKS intakes
Apexi ecu fc controller base map until next week😜
walbro 255 fuel pump
stock cat but soon changing to straight through mid pipe
always run on high octane
and i premix the fuel.

Howdy!

Yes, had similar issues. Double-checking all the vacuum lines is the first step. After that, there's a great guide on here on how to test all the solenoids and actuators. That's really the best way to give the turbo systems a 'tune-up'. I've noticed that mine has been touch and go everytime I'm in there messing with things, so I've had to go thru the whole setup a couple of times to make sure (and even new stuff doesn't work correctly sometimes.)

Thank you

Thank you for your advice very kind. I did do what you suggested. And in the end it was an intercooliing pipe I didn’t find the split so I changed the whole lot and it cured it.
