FD Factory Wiring Harness Routing Photos

Hi all,

Does anyone have any photos (say with the manifold off) of the FD's wiring harness routing behind the rats nest? My new wiring harness is a little different than my original in the routing it seems. Or maybe so much tape fell off the original cooked harness...

I'm having a difficult time getting the solenoids plugged in and in place...everything's fighting everything. The FSM has been a help, but in this area it makes it seem like there's alot of room, and we all know there is like NO room.

Thank you in advance.

Not sure if there's anything in these that will help but it's the best I can do. (unfortunately) no emissions, and some of my solenoids were relocated, but I think the harness routing was the same....

Sgtblue,

Wow! That looks very clean & sharp. I also like the coolant T-off to run a secondary water temp gauge. Are those pics from a current build?

Thank you! I think the second/third photos should give me enough clues to get me a little closer.

5spd427... I posted that picture from the FSM just in case you hadn’t already referenced it and wanted to double-check the order of solenoids.

Gen2n3... thanks the props but nah, just old pics from 12 or 13 years ago. Experienced former forum member ‘fitzrx7’ held my hand thru it. Engine’s still going strong though, over 50k miles on it now.
And yes, it’s just the old t-body coolant line looped front to back for the temp sender.

So, the car continues to teach me valuable lessons. #1 follow the FSM. #2 Don't trust anything that the PO did.

I had the little bracket off the primary injectors on the wrong bolt. Which moved the harness back an inch, which made everything out of whack.

This probably would have been much simpler had I not installed the lower intake in haste to keep forward progress while waiting for some solenoids.

It's coming along tho. Tomorrow is vacuum lines (which I've done several times so I have a little confidence on those.)
