Perform a compression test. If indeed there is an issue with the engine, before anything further is done you need to find out what caused the failure. Too much timing? Bad injector? Twice factory boost on a 200K mile engine?

This will help you perform a simple compression test:
Is My Engine Blown?

did a compression test rear had 180 all around and front had 20 all round. If its a cracked block/rotor how well do sr20s work in the fc and if its a gasket/seal ill be rebuilding

180 is pretty high... and 20 is pretty low ,
your front rotor & housing might be toasted...might have to add that the the rebuild list

on the side note , are you sure you put back the spark plug wire to the right place....

You will never know for sure until it's opened up, but considering metal is incompressible, most likely. Prepare for the worst.

And BTW, please don't give up on the rotary just because you don't want to rebuilt it. You want an SR, get an s-chassis. There's too many of these cars being swapped because people are afraid of the rotary and its reputation. I promise you, you drive a properly running rotary and you'll instantly know there's nothing else like it.

Yep..nothing like a Good running Rotary.
If you look up top 10 Ultimate Must haves for Men..it is tied at #1..with SEX..and Beer..and Rock and Roll!

The Upside of a rebuild/engine replacement is having the NEW engine in and having it work great!..
THAT Moment will bring you right back to why you bought the car and why you insisted on throwing money at it!

..again.. a feeling..TIED at #1...with ...(you get the drift!)

If you buy online **** it is just that..Unless you know the company and people personally I wouldn't trust them as far as you could throw your old engine.
Look up Force Fed racing.(Canadian,I believe)...and Rx7 Specialties.

also you could register at west coast rotary and see if anyone on the forum there can help you source an engine. It's a BC based Club.
