Power FC ver 5.08 -> base map mix of 'base stock' and 'base mod'?

Hey guys,

I just picked up a PFC a few days ago.. was informed that I was already on the edge of what is considered safe with the stock ecu and I was just about to install an upgraded SMIC. I've been trying to do a lot of reading and research to get up to speed on it and I intend on getting a datalogit in the future as well.

Anyways, I installed the PFC into the car and reset the software. I went through the IGL,IGT and INJ maps as I wanted to verify that I had the 'base mod' map. I used this site to reference the map values for 'base mod' and 'base stock': A'PEXi Power FC

Interestingly enough, my IGL and IGT maps matched the 'base mod' maps on the site exactly, but the INJ map did not. There were seven cells that did not match (six of them were less rich than what is in the 'base mod', one was more). I checked them against the 'base stock' INJ map on the site and that is actually the INJ map I had.

Has anyone else experienced this? Have the map values on that site been verified before, is it possible they got switched around or something? I ended up modifying my INJ map to match the 'base mod' INJ map, EXCEPT for cell N08, P15, which I left as the original, richer value (119 instead of 117). I haven't started the car yet as its 1:30 AM and I don't want my neighbors to hate me. I plan on doing it in the morning so the PFC can learn the idle and then taking it for a little drive before work.

I just wanted to post this as both an FYI and to run what I did past the gurus here to make sure it wasn't a bad idea or something. Thanks!

if you got it used, it's certainly possible that somebody went in with the commander and changed a few cells. It's not necessarily a major concern.

Hi arghx, thanks for the response. I thought about that, but I did a reset of the software so they all should have been reset to default values, no? The ecu was previously used on a single turbo 7. Either way, I guess its not a big deal or anything, I was just curious about it as it didn't quite match.
