Any way to tell if FD3S has aftermarket clutch?
Can anyone tell me if there is a way (without major disassembly) to tell if a FD3S has an aftermarket clutch or not? This JDM RHD FD3S that I am working on, we don't know the history on, but it does have a "ORC Ogura Racing Clutch" sticker in the back window. just kind of curious if it actually has a racing clutch in it or not... The clutch works good, as I can (even without making any boost yet) start a brakeburn on dry asphalt without using too many R's...
The car also has a Tein sticker on it, but despite riding like a lumber-wagon does not (haven't pulled the wheels to inspect closely, but with the 17's on it, I can get a pretty good look at the struts, and they don't look like coil overs, so prob just a sticker, just wondering if the clutch is only upgraded via "sticker power" too..

If you take off the starter and peep in you may be able to catch a glimpse of the clutch but I doubt it. Only sure fire way is to take off the transmission and take a look.
There's an inspection cover on the bottom of the bell-housing...two 10mm bolts. The stock pressure-plate was black. If you see another color...yellow, purple etc.... it's after-market. Looks like Ogura might be kind of a greenish-gold.
