Another heater problem

Have a problem with my heat. nothing happens at all when i turn it on. my logicon lights up except for the lights to select were the heat goes, the heater fuse is fine, and i get no noise from the air mix motor? i have an 88 vert i live in chicago so with out the defrost i can barley see were im going half the time. i saw another thread of some one who had the same problem but they didnt say what they did to fix it... some one help me out.

Cold solder joints in the logicon.

aight im gonna pull it apart tommorow and redo the solder thanks for ur help. its like below zero right now here in the mourning

i tried redoing the solder but it still doesnt work, right before it broke on the max setting it made a loud ticking sound could it be the resistor? but my air mix motor doesnt work either so. i was thinking about running the blower motor with a switch and a inline fuse because i really need heat...

it may be a relay , esspecialy if you heard clicking

Have you tested the motor itself?

i'm gonna test the motor today and if it was the relay wouldn't the air mix motor still work

to be perfectly honest i dont know because i havent mess with much wiring on rx7's and im not sure how it is wired but most likely they would be on close but different circuts

do i need to take the whole dash apart to test the motor cause i tryed just taking off the glove box but i couldnt really get at it
