Good to be back after 3 years without an RX-7
1988 RX-7 Conv.
The dash controller for hot and cold air no matter what the position allows hot air all the time.
Any help would be appreciated.

You need a new air mix motor or new/repaired logicon. There are testing procedures in the FSM for both.

 

is there a FSM on line on the RX-7 site
if not do you know of another location on line that i can download it from

I went to http://rx7.foxed.ca/ found the FSM no problem but can not find a single mention pertaining to the mix motor or logicon or any thing that has to do with the car indoor control of the H&C control.
Would you have any other thoughts or am I just missing something as it is there but I can not find it.

The Factory Service Manual can be found in the FAQ For FC thread. It contains all this information and more, and is an essential tool for any sort of service work that needs to be performed on these cars.

Additionally, the Haynes service manual for the 1986 thru 1991 RX-7 (both turbo and NA) can be found at most local auto parts stores or purchased from any good bookstore (ISBN number 1 56392 007 7). It is only about $25 and is a great quick reference for things like this. Not only does it contain most of the information in the FSM condensed into an easy to read format, but it includes full wiring diagrams as well.
