All Gen 1parts fit '83?

I came across a potential bargain for two Gen 1 doors but don't know if they will fit my '83. Also axle diff with disc brakes and rear glass same deal. Storage manager doesn't know what year car these pieces came from. Are Gen 1 parts interchangeable? Any input appreciated.

Thanks

79-80 brake fittings differ from 81-85. i would think doors would interchange between all 1st gens. dash layout change thru the yrs. 79-80 differ from the later ones. i know 81-83 shifter surround is separate from the dash where 84-85 is all one piece. u would need to know if the diff is large or small axle. gslse has different lug pattern. being as the diff is disc brake, it will be 81 or later. chances r these all came from the same car and will fit urs with no problem unless u have drum brakes in which case u would need the e-brake cable as well. not sure if the gsl was before 83 or not. others with more knowledge than i will chime in soon. do the doors have manual crank windows or power?

The doors will fit no problem. The diff will work but depending on the year may require a different driveshaft. Regardless, it's worth getting if it's a deal because it's the disc rear ends. All first gen disc rear ends are limited slip.

I would buy the parts. These parts are getting tougher to find, especially locally. As stated the parts you are looking at will interchange. If you get them, post some pics and we can help identify them for you.

Thanks VERY MUCH for your replies, most helpful. Now have 1st Gen parts in my storage. Will attempt to sort out what's what and take pics. So far, the batch includes differential, back glass, hood, both doors, door glass, shifter, several sets of wheels, headlight doors, tail lights and other pieces.

Cheers,
quicked
