Aftermarket FPR on NA?

So I have seen where guys have removed the stock FPD and changed their fuel lines to a parallel setup. Would this setup be good for a NA motor? Or would it be better to to just run a Marren FPD with the stock fuel line setup and keep the oem FPR?

ur post count should allow u to so u might want to repost this in the 2nd gen section as u'll receive quicker responses. outside of the mods on this site, not many of those with fc experience visit this section. but unless ur wanting to install an aftermarket pump, u shouldn't need a regulator. but unless that's kinda what the dampener does, then i say u'll probably need one. i try to help out on other generation 7's but sometimes i'm more wrong than right.

No. Pointless and a waste of time and money on an NA engine.

If your car is a 1986-1988 FC, then the easiest solution is to simply replace the stock FPD with another OEM FPD. You will also need to buy a new manifold gasket (upper to lower), and this would be a good time to send your fuel injectors out for cleaning and "rebuilding" if they look worn and dirty. Also check your rubber fuel lines, as the originals are usually cracked by now.

If your car is a 1989-1992 FC, then the FPD is integral with the fuel rail. In this case, you need to either buy a whole new rail assembly, or install an aftermarket fuel rail with an aftermarket FPD or an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator that has a FPD function (Aeromotive or SX brand).

Parallel fuel rails generally are not worth the trouble unless the car has a race engine and/or if the car has an aftermarket standalone engine management system that the owner wants to fine tune. However, there is nothing wrong with going that route if you don't mind spending the time and money.
