Adaptronic still worth it?

For my build, I'm shooting for around 300hp-320hp, maybe a bit more but I'd like a 2-step LC, and since my harness is in good shape, a PnP ECU in case I sell my car in the future to make it easier to sell. There isn't many PnP options for S4 TII in 2023, really only PFC with banzai and adaptronic eMod009 (discontinued). I'm starting to look away towards PFC because the lack of safety features, and more towards adaptronic because it gives me everything I really want out of the box with no extra adapter harness and coils. Question is, is adaptronic really worth it in 2023? I called my local tuner and they told me they do tune for adaptronic but it never quite "ran perfect", and it kind of turned me away a bit.

Thanks.

I would choose a Power FC over an Adaptronic if they were my only two options.

Is there a specific reason why?

I feel like the Adaptronic would be a better option over the PFC given its capabilities. I have heard a handful of issues with the Adaptronic, but I think you could make that statement with any ECU. There are plenty of PFC users, including myself, that have continued to use it for years. There is a lot of support, just more limited in capabilities.

Any FD PNP ECU can be used with our adapter harness.

Wait, so what you're saying is I can use the Banzai "APEXi Power FC Harness Adapter (86-88 RX-7) (SKU: S4_PFC_ADP)" and plug in lets say, a haltech elite 1000 or 1500 and it works with my 10AE? Do I still have to swap the coils and ignitors, do I use the Haltech S4 basemap? Because if that's the case, I'm sold on that 100%.

And by using the Haltech, I mean using their PnP Harness (HT-141328 Elite 1000-2500 Mazda RX7 FD3S-S6 Plug 'n' Play Adaptor Harness) in conjunction with your harness. So basically running Stock harness -> Banzai Harness Adaptor -> Haltech PnP adaptor harness -> Haltech Elite 1500 if I'm getting this right? It's essentially taking my OEM harness and turning it into a S6 harness if I'm getting this right...

Adaptronic is dead and officially all support ends around mid-May this year

so it be a good idea to archive all your software downloads in one or more secure places

not sure on an FD3S, but on the RX8/SE3P some harness wires need to be pinned or repurposed differently for the Adaptronic. In that situation you can use a generic PnP adapter harness, but would need to still perform those changes to have proper functionality. Some people may not understand this, so just fyi.
