hi im new to the forum just trying to get some tips, i just swapped a 91 into my 87 it starts then dies n.e ideas
b.c. im out of at this point

 

More then likely you have a giant vacuum or air leak.

Can you keep the car running with you foot on the pedal?

 

ya... but i am using the old 87's ecu and wiring harness
could it be the bac?

 

ummm if i were you id change the ECU!!!

 

i have the new ecu but still looking/waiting for the wiring harness's i also have the new mas air flow that is not yet installed...
and injector presure sensor

 

Use the 91 keg (motor) and all of the 87 accessories(front cover, omp, intake, etc, etc,...) and ECU. Putting in the 91 ECU and harness is more then just the motor, you will have to rewire most everything in the car.

There should be a write up on how to do this somewhere on the board.
