AL 88 shell

i just bought a 88 Turbo shell in good condition, but the previous owner took the ecu out. i just want to know which side it went in on. i think i read someplace on here that its on the passenger side up front on the floor board, but i havnt found any plugs that match it. the ecu is a N333, so i just want to see if i have everything and just need an engine and trans to complete the car. the harness is still in the bay, uncut and everything. hopefully i can get some pictures up soon to show what im working with here. thanks for the help.

its on the passenger side there is a plate to cover its held in by a few bolts, you just gotta pull the carpet back enough to get to it, i read in some service manual that it was behind the center console but that wasnt the case LOL but i ended finding the answer here i hope this helps

i've looked at the pdf.s and i think im missing the harness that runs thro the firewall. i have the terminals and some of the emissions, but not the end with the firewall gromit. heres some pictures i took earlier of the one plug i found and where it is at.

also, is it possible to use a 86 Turbo harness in a 88 harness?

thanks again

i just want to make sure im actually missing a part of the harness. because that is the only cable i have where the ecu is suppose to be at. and i can see a hole in the firewall where from other pictures points to a harness is suppose to be coming out of with a gromit around it, but it is all missing. i found a picture of a harness with the gromit and the other plugs im missing, i've circled them in red.

wow, i might actually drop by some time this spring. my Girlfriend is goin to JSU right out of Anniston / Oxford and i usually drive down for a couple of days during the weekends. i might do that to get a look at a running 88 Turbo. there's practically no RX-7's here in Madison / Huntsville of any gen i've seen running.
