MO 88 RX7 TII Body & Interior Parts

I have owned my RX7 for 10 years and am at a point to begin replacing parts for the body and interior. Namely, I am looking for the following:

Rear tail light covers, front parking light covers, Turbo II stickers for sides of car and most importantly, interior covers for stereo and speakers. (Current parts were destroyed by the shop I paid to install a new stereo and speakers.)

Can anyone recommend a vendor where I can get these parts? Can you also tell me if these parts are interchangeable for all 2nd gen vehicles (not just 88)?

I am not a mechanic or auto savvy, so please spell out abbreviations, etc. Also, can anyone recommend a good mechanic in the Kansas City metro? (Please don't provide names for Mazda dealerships--they have absolutely no idea what they are doing.)

Many, many thanks.

www.mazdatrix.com or direct from the Mazda dealership. You can also try the classifieds section when you have more posts.

Tail lights can be swapped between series (S4: '86-'88, S5: '89-'91), but they're different styles. S5s have round tail lights. There are no "covers", they're two pieces that are glued together.

Turn signal/parking light lenses are different shape/size between the two series, so buy S4 only.

Stereo surrounds can be swapped between series (as long as you use the same series vents), and the S5 version uses rubberized plastic, which is infinitely more durable than the brittle S4 one. This is a common upgrade to the interior of an S4.

Speaker covers should be the same for both series cars.

Speaker covers may physically interchange between cars, but they are not identical in style. S4 ('86-88) rear speaker grilles had a sort of horn shape embossed into them to give them a directional appearance. It's almost like they have little scoops in them. The S5 ('89-91) style is a uniform mesh pattern across the entire grille. Also some S5 cars had a cargo area cover that required a different rear speaker grille altogether.

Thanks for the quick responses, Rotary and David. It is greatly appreciated. Can't wait to start doing some research--just have to get the lingo down.

eBay is fine for spare parts (and I use it), but I kinda prefer the classified section of this site. I think prices are often more reasonable, not to mention that you can post a "Wanted to Buy" ad if you're looking for something specific.
