88 na burping problem

first off, my name is jimmy and i am from sugar creek mo, i just tried posting this from my mobile but didn't work i guess, well my car has been over heating and leaking from the cap on the radiator, so i got a s5 radiator on trade, put it in and still leaked from cap, so i was told to buy new caps, did so and it worked, but still overheating, so i looked up burping the coolant system and tried to do so, so i used a funnel on the cap at the water pump, and i had got small bubbles and large bubbles to come out but after about 15 min ,temp got high and the coolant in the large funnel started boiling so i turned car off, now when car is off, the coolant level is low, but when i start, it rises tremendously, like fills the funnel half way, il try to attach a video i found on you tube that is similar to my problem but i don't want to think my coolant seals have blown, cant figure out how to upload video from you tube, but if you type bad coolant seals on 1994 rx-7, any help will be appreciated

Before thinking the worst case scenario, first replace your thermostat.

Reading your post i can't help thinking it's not opening. They don't cost much and are relatively easy to replace. Best is to but an oem one.

Forgot to mention that I did put in new thermostat, it it opens at 175 instead of the 185 degrees oem ones
I did just buy one of the spill free isle funnels or however you spell to see if that thing will work, I'm thinking about just taking the thermostat out and see what it does then

You ALWAYS want to replace the thermostat with an OEM Mazda thermostat. Always.

Altthough you have a new thermostat i think it is still not opening. Why Oem? Don´t know the answer to that but in the years i read in this forum the guys with much more knowledge then me regarding rotary engines always say you have to buy the OEM thermostat.

So i would at least try that and hope it is nothing worse

Why OEM?... Because it works.

You should see if you can return the other thermostat.

Don't mean to hijack ur thread OP but for some reason I cannot start a new post.

Would air in the system keep the heater from working? I had a little bit of an overheat this morning getting out of snow and my overflow tank lid popped, coolant everywhere. I let it cool, filled it and did a breif burping for the coolant buzzer to go off, but still no heat. after reading up here and other places i replaced the thermostat, in the past they have gotten stuck open for some but that did not fix it for me. Any ideas?
