87 turbo 2 haltech 550

Hello, my son and I are working on his 87 turbo 2, we installed a haltech 550 and can't get it started. Wired with haltech coils(direct fire) Showing a HOME TOOTH COUNT ERROR4. Has spark, ecu is reading cranking rpm, tps is working(read s 0 no throttle, 100 %at full throttle) fuel pump primes ect. Have been online with haltech rep twice setting up base map but not really helpful with finding a solution, could this be a hardware issue? ( bad cas? It's reading the trigger side so I don't think so) the trigger settings are at 60 and 2 and haltech insists this is correct( I thought it was supposed to be 12 and 2 reluctor falling falling direct fire seq injection ect. I can have my son post his map here if anyone thinks that they can help us out. I really appreciate all of the information you all share here on rx7 club and thank you in advance for the help with my sons project.

Struggling to download map from haltech software but here are some screen shots of the basic setup. I can send pics of fuel and timing pages if necessary

I believe you should me using "Mazda Rotary Multitooth 24 and 2" trigger type. You said you started from a base map? The maps that came with the software?

To save your map just go to File, click Save as, name it and select a location, and click save.

Moved to the New Member Tech section. Best of luck in getting your TII sorted out. Wish I could be of more help but I usually only do oem restorations. Not much in the tuning business.
