87' Turbo II

When I first bought her, I had a few issues with the clutch and the shifter. Now that everything is as smooth as can be, I am falling in love again. Here's a few pictures. Only mods at the moment is a DND Quick Release and Godspeed Coilovers

Welcome to the club! What a gorgeous T2! I hope one day to have my own as well! What are your plans for the car?

For this year it was just getting the clutch, throw out bearing, flywheel and pressure plate situated. I then got a Mazdatrix short shifter, DND Quick Release and Godspeed Maxx Coilovers.

For next year, I am looking to do an emissions delete, upgraded radiator, electric fan and possibly an upgraded turbo as well.

I am open ears to hear opinions, so please tell me what you think!

I am currently the 3rd owner. I bought it from a mechanic up in Connecticut. The original owner bought the vehicle in upstate New York. He kept all the paperwork, window sticker and even the order form in Japanese! Currently the T2 has 138k original miles. The motor has never been rebuilt. It's in amazing condition for the number of years it has.

if you don't mind me asking, how much did you end up spending on her? I am looking for a T2 and there is a nice one in good condition for sale locally and its posted at $16k which seems like a lot to me... just wanting to get a sense of the market. Otherwise the paint on yours looks fantastic! I typically like the way the white fcs look but this red is starting to change my mind.

I blocked out some areas because the original owners name was on it. As you can see, he kept a meticulous copy of everything.
Factory Air Dam options
Original Bill of Sale
Original Window Sticker
Original Catalog
Original Emissions Control

I feel like I would be doing this car a disservice if I didn't upkeep it. It's a relic at this point.

Not at all! I paid $8500 for my T2, cash. The mechanic I bought it from needed money for his RX3 project (his loss, my gain). Mind you it did have issues with the Clutch, Throw out bearing, Pressure Plate, Flywheel and the shifter was extremely sloppy. $16k, in my opinion is a little steep....UNLESS, u find an absolute gold mine where they guy kept a record of everything that was done.

Very nice Turbo2, definitely found one that was well kept. Sounds like you got a decent deal, clutch job is an easy fix. Is it just me or is the exposure whacky? Post some non-filtered pictures when you can.
