So I'm looking to get back into working on my 87 RX7 TII that I started taking apart about a decade ago, due to the 2nd synchro going bad, and could use an engine rebuild. So I'm excited about doing the engine rebuild, but not so much to rebuild the tranny myself. And I'm not to excited about paying $1k to have someone rebuild the tranny. Are the JDM tranny's that show up on ebay and the JDM importers a good option, or am I better off paying for a rebuild or trying to rebuild it myself? Thanks in advance for any guidance you can bring!
