87 TII Boost Gauge Not Working
87 TII Boost Gauge Not Working
Hey guys,
New to the rotary scene and just picked up a 87 TII yesterday. I noticed that the boost gauge is not working when I start the car or when i'm driving. The gauge stays still as if its not connected. I looked around for disconnected wires but didnt see anything out of place.
Can someone help guide me to get the boost gauge working?

It wouldn't be such a bad idea to invest in an aftermarket boost gauge. (Just an option.) - If what Aaron Cake is saying may be the problem... A new gauge won't 'fix' that. That vacuum line MUST be attached.
That's the Variable Resistor, used for setting the idle. L is for lean and R is for rich. It's set at the factory and not really supposed to be fiddled with unless the component is being replaced or someone else fiddled with it.
it has a blob of what looks to be RTV or JB weld or something of that nature in there. is that how the factory locked it or is that a sign that someone has been in there putzing with it?
