86-91 Pressure Plate Measurement?
Hello All.
My name is William and I am from Northern MA, USA.
I am working on a GM FWD project car with an engine/trans combo that has no readily available clutch solution. The reason I am here is that I think the Gen 2 RX-7 clutch will work for my application, but I need a measurement so that I can be sure it will work before dropping $$$ on clutch parts.
Does anyone here have an old pressure plate (86-91 push style 240mm diameter) lying around that they could measure for me? I need to know the overall diameter of the mounting flange of the pressure plate and the diameter of the top part that covers the spring, so that I can determine the max mounting depth in my bell-housing. If it will fit, then I can order the clutch parts and make the additional measurements that I need in order to machine the custom flywheel.
Thanks,
-William
