My dad owns a 1985 GSLSE. Went to pull the car into the garge and will not start. When we turn the key, lights come on, dash lights come on...turn the key to the start position- nothing! Had the battery tested, everything is ok. We are able to push it and pop the clutch to start it. We are going to pull the starter next and have it tested......does anyone have any ideas? Coils? Ignition switch? Please help, any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks guys!

 

Dead starter or bad/corroded wiring to the starter. Check your wiring first to make sure it looks clean (to the starter) and then have the starter tested....

 

my GSL-SE was exactly like that and the relay was blown so i just hardwired the starter to a button then to the battery since then it has started everytime
