..although the Rotors are Triangular, and remind you of Tacos, the engine should not ingest HOT sauce!...sorry..Dorito joke..lol!
..Back to serious Do you have a Stock exhaust?
Or modified?..I am betting not a stock exhaust.

i can tell you that there will be constant flames with an open header, and constant flames with an open exhaust manifold, but in your case, i can't say for sure if it's normal or not because you mentioned that it's still coming through the cat. generally speaking, most of the excess fuel that makes it out the engine and would ignite usually happens in the catalyst. i would imagine it's quite possible that it's a "normal" phenomenon though - not constant, but a few here and there. i may be wrong though. i'm sure someone else will chime in and correct me if i am wrong.
one thing that i do want to address though is your questions. i don't want you to take this the wrong way because it's not meant as an attack, scolding or anything even remotely similar. it's just a little friendly advice. try to include as much information as you can with your questions. i know some guys try to keep it short because of short attention spans and such, but in the long run, it's better for you and the guys/gals trying to help you.
for example, i only know that it's coming out your cat and the rest of your exhaust is disconnected because you posted it in your other thread. however, someone reading this thread now is left to think (or assume) that you have an intact exhaust system and will go about trying to answer your question as such. does that make sense?
EDIT: posts 3 and 4 were not there when i was writing this, but i'm sure you get what i'm saying now.

If the exhaust had more pipe to travel from instead of a short escape,it would tend to hinder your "flame throwing".It has to go through the muffler's chambers to get out the tail pipe.
Now,If the car is NOT running properly and the tuning is not up to par, then It can be seen as adding to the Camp fire.

for now, don't stress over it. don't go messing with timing or anything else just yet. you have an incomplete exhaust system and you will see more flames the closer you get to the exhaust ports. if you reconnect the exhaust system, then they should go away (provided it's sealed well; i.e. gaskets, sealant, etc.) if you plan to be starting it regularly as is, just make sure to remove any flammable material from the periphery of the car.
