538 on chassis or 538 on the rebuilt motor? Is it completely stock?

538 miles and completely stock will fetch 20k+ to the right buyer. Where is this car?

Colour? Submodel? Automatic or manual? If it is an automatic, you'd have to pay someone to take it.

538 total miles. It was driven once and put away. It is a yellow manual. I was just wondering what I could get for it as I am thinking about selling it.

what is a submodel. I thought rx7 twin turbo was the model?

If it's CYM it's an R1. If you are thinking about selling it I'm thinking about buying it! If you aren't messing with us, that is one amazing example. You should try to contact Mazda corporate to see if they will buy if from you.

All 1993+ RX-7s are twin turbo. R1, base, touring are the different trim levels. Since your car is yellow, it is an R1.

However, the car not having been driven in almost 20 years is not a good thing (if I understand you correctly). Have you verified that the engine has not seized, that the fuel and brake lines have not rotted, etc?

I don't think Mazda corporate would give a rat's *** about this car. They didn't even bother to hold onto the single pearly white example.

Well it's the only pearl white one in the states. I bet they have tons of them in Japan.

I don't understand how something like this even happens, lol

I can't imagine paying $50k for a car, driving it for a month, and then stashing it in a barn for 20 years

I understand it
it's called pics, or it didn't happen

anyway, mazda had financial trouble in the 90's so its perfectly reasonable that they should sell off all their property and focus on the companies future

I will get it out and send it to the mazda dealer for them to service it and check it out to make sure there are no issues.

I would find a rotary specialist in your area. Even if it has no issues going into and Mazda dealership, it likely will when it comes out. In general, Mazda dealers have no idea how to work on these cars.

Truer words were never spoken. When I go to the dealership for 1stgen parts (yes, there is still stuff in the pipe), I have to get them to turn the monitor around to show them what I'm trying to get even when I have Mazda PN's.

There is one thing I have to say about this, though.

Please don't join to just sell the car. RX-7 Club exists first for its members and the Classifieds boards are for the membership as a privilege.

RX-7 Club is not another online selling site (think craigslist or AutoTrader...) for vehicles or parts solely, unless you're willing to become a paying Forum Vendor.

+1 Don't take it to the stealership, they will rape you. I took mine there once and they said I needed a new engine. I called Ari from Rotary Performance and got it running for under $10.

I will take some pictures over the weekend and post them up for you. The local dealer, Serra Mazda, told me they have a tech that is rx7 certified. If anyone knows anywhere better in the Birmingham area let me know.

Half that would be more realistic IMHO. Assuming car is truly mint and completely sorted, $25k would be best case. These cars are loved by enthusiasts, not collectors.

The easy credit years of 2006-2008 would have been best time to sell this car. Even then, I doubt it would have hit $30k.

I just paid 16k for a 27,000 mile red/tan 5spd like new!! I would say if yours is perfect and has no mechanical problems, 20-25k is fair. Good luck!

I drove it around today so it runs which is a good thing. I did not go very far as the tires are from the 22 week of 92. It is very dirty and needs to be sorted out but surprisingly the ac is ice cold. If I decide to sell it I will let you guys know but right now not for sale. I was just wondering on a value.
