2nd Gen Lean when I touch throttle Microtech

First up I have searched through the microtech section and found that other people have had similar problems to this and have had there problems fixed with help from the users on the forum. Though I feel it better to get personal help specific to my setup rather then hoping other people setting will work for me.

I have a Series 5 13BT Stock turbo, stock ports, FMIC, Larger injectors (both Primary and secondary, Injector Dynamics 720cc), Parallel fuel setup at about 43 psi fuel pressure, LT8 ECU, Standard ignition setup.

I have taken my car to a local dyno tuner and have the car running a lot better then when I first took it to him though my tuner doesn't know microtech very well and the last rotary he tuned was 10 years ago.

So basically the problem is while free reving the engine will stumble a little untill say 1500 rpm then it will rev fine, and while cruising if I lightly hold the throttle the wideband reads 16 - 17 instead of low 14's

I will go out now and take down my map and post it up as soon as I am done.

Thanks in advance Mudcrab

Thankyou Misterstyx69

I forgot to mention in my first post, I have re-built this engine after a apex seal gave up on me, I replaced both rotor housings and rotors and fitted a complete master rebuild kit from rotary aviation (classic RA seals) this was my first ever rebuild rotary or piston.

I wanted to make sure I didn't forget to get a important part of the tune so I wrote down the entire thing screen by screen. Some parts of this tune were on the ecu when I bought the car. my tuner changed only the fuel maps (Idle Map, 1000 map -> Load map)
I realize some of these settings will be all over the shop that's why I'm here.

While cruising the wideband should be reading above 15, absolutely not low 14s. There is no reason to run that rich while crusing and most rotarys will happily cruise in the high 15s or 16s.

As for you stumbling, that map looks OK at first glance. So check your PUMP1 setting. Increase it a bunch and see if that makes a difference. If not, then you'll need to adjust the map. Add fuel around the area where it stumbles. Fixed? If so, then yay. If not, then decrease fuel.

Which parts of the pump settings should I change and what is the easiest way to identify the area where I need to add or remove fuel.

I am very new to tuning and I don't wanna destroy my car.

Step 1, download the Microtech manual from their website.

Microtech EFI

Step 2, read the manual.

You would adjust Pump1Amt.

However, perhaps you should make a call to your tuner so that he could finish the job?

After I posted last I started reading through what the pump settings did and thought it would be pump1 amt.

The main reason why i'm trying to fix this myself is because I don't have the money to go see my tuner again. I know it's a poor excuse, I am putting some money together but it won't be untill late Jan that'll ill have the money and time to get out there to see him.

I will have a play with the pump setting tonight after work.

I mean that you should go to your tuner, and he should fix the problem for free, as he obviously didn't finish the job you paid him for.

My tuner was charging by the hour. I paid him for the work he did. I do plan to get him to finish the job off, I just want to have the car a bit more drivable untill I can go see him.

I have had a play with the pump1 amt settings, it might have helped a little but it didn't fix the problem I had it set as high as +70% it was still quite noticable even with it set that high I also changed the pulse to +4 to see if that would help but it hardly made a difference.
