1991 12a nonturbo 5 sp

My rx-7 started acting funny the other night. It was hard to start then when it started it was very sluggish until I got going. Then it was fine. Come to a stop it dies unless you keep your foot on the gas. Then I have to take off at like 3 or 4000 rpms to get going. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong.

First thing is to check for error codes to see if the car will point you in the right direction as far as diagnosing your problem is concerned.

you sure it has a 12A in it?..S5(1991) came with a 13b.
and the electric OMP is notorious for causing Limp mode problems,

Depending on how sluggish it is after 4krpm, I almost want to say you have a blown engine. I think we need more details and specifics though.
