1988 rx7 13b n/a won't go to 3200 rpm when starting
1988 mazda rx7 13b n/a when starting will no go to 3200 rpm. when depressing clutch coming to a stop will go to 500 rpm the stall 80 % of the time. Other 20% it idles rock solid at 850 rpm. engine has 5000 mi on it.
Runs strong, no missing or hesation at any rpm. Problem just started 500 mi ago. Nothing was changed. replaced all sensor and ECU. nothing changed. All hoses, spark plugs, fuel pump, injectors and battery were changed with rebuild help.

are you starting the car in gear? that will deactivate the cold start. But also, so will temperature, I think the threshold was between 40-60 degrees? if under or above it won't go up to 3200 rpm

5 speed never start in gear. temp doesn't seem to matter. When it is working right will go to 3299 every time you start the car. I am more interested in the stalling problem. It started when the 3200 rpm problem started. Seems like they are related but I don't understand how. Thanks for your reply and any info on the stalling problem would be greatly apprec.

checked all vacuum lines no leaks anywhere. motor only has 5000 mi on it after complete rebuild. Ran great until 4500mi then stalling problem started. tried replacing the following parst with known working ones; ecu, tps, throlte body, map, temp sensor, oil press sensor, and any othe electrical devices in cluding all 4 solinoids, egr valve, fuel pump and filter. pulled intake manifold and plenum. Changed all injectors plugs and plug wires. Like I said car will idle fine about 20% of time but stalls the other 80%. I'm pretty sure the problem is in the wireing but all voltages check out fin at egu. Must be a broken wire in harness or bad connector but I don't have a clue witch sensor would control the idle problem I'm having and a new harness is about $1000. Don't want to buy one of those because if it doesn't fix the problem they won't take it back. Help.
