CA S5 N/A Bogging At 3.5-4.5rpm

Hey everyone,

Wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with a S5 N/A bogging out. I recently swapped over my motor (no issues) into a new chassis. I did drain the gas prior to starting up the motor and replaced the fuel pump. I did also replace the spark plugs(NGK) and wires(Racing Beat). I was driving the car around the past couple of days and I noticed that when I step on the throttle the car loses power and bogs out around 3k-4.5k rpm. I stopped to run an errand and started the car, it was struggling to idle. After turning it off and turning it back on it started to idle fine but it still loses throttle feel around the 3k-4.5k rpm line. The only thing I could think of is the fuel filter and fuel tank strainer of which I have ordered. If anyone else wants to chime in with things I should look into I'd really appreciate it.

the secondaries come on at ~3850 RPMs, so if it is right around that point then you have a better idea of what is causing it.

being that the injectors stage right in the middle of your problem area i'm going to say you have a fuel pressure issue or a engine harness ground that isn't very solid.

the injectors themselves could also be part of the issue, if you used some old injectors that were sitting for a while and are gunked up.

So I replaced the fuel filter and Fuel tank strainer. The strainer was clogged with a black gunk almost looking like black sealant. Cleaned up any of the gunk that got through to the fuel pump and any that I saw in the tank. Started the car and drove it around. All is good! No issues bogging out.
