I just bought my first rx7 fc. GXL. The guy I bought it from took all the emissions equpiment out and all the carpet and interior except the front seats and dash. It has lsd, s5 lights and an aluminum hood. It also has raceing beat headers and a magnaflow exhaust.


What i want to do is put all the carpet and 2x2 seats back in it and the headliner.
The only thing is is he also took some wires out and I have no idea where they go and what they are for.

all these wires are in the car but not going to anything that i can find.

 

might be a little confusing, but wiring diagrams, and connector views is best way to tell exactly what they are and where they go.. some cars dont even use all of the connectors, they put the same wiring kit in every car (in that year), so they might just go nowhere...but the wires above the shock towers in the rear... are speakers and suspension control, not sure on the 3rd connector..... i dont want to go naming off stuff i dont really know... but if the car runs and drives fine, most likely everything is plugged in that needs to be... if the emissions become too bad the check engine light will come on, such as something not working properly, or being unplugged...

 

The wires in the seat look to have been played with. Why is there all that slack?

 

the wires in the seat were stuffed under the seat and i noticed them just yesterday. I bought the car 1.5 weeks ago. I have no idea where they go. If it helps all the emissions stuff is out of the car.

 

There are a load of unused plugs all around the car. Looks like all your pictures contain them.

if it runs and drives fine i wouldn't worry about it... if i were you i would find out where those loose wires go, re tape them together and route it where they are supposed to go, so that the carpet will fit perfectly.

 

Those look like some test connectors, speaker wires and a random hacked up harness to who knows what. You're probably fine as is, but the FSM wiring diagrams will be the source for definitive answers.

Those wires u had on the seat where for the back compartment lights, u dont have compartments u want seats soo idk what u should do, im probibly putting my compartments back in because i dont have a back seat and dont know where to find one
