BC 13b swap needs spark?

hey rotor heads i have bee swapin my 86 n/a 13b into one of my first gens
heres my problem,
i crank over the motor and get no spark at the plugs
what i have checked,
coils/ignitors pass resistance and continuity tests but still no powr to plug wires
what i believe is preventing,
so i have been told that the fuel pump need to be conected to ecu.
i have kept the orig. fuel pump for line pressure i no longer know were it connects to the harness, ecu, or even a relay.
any digrams, info, or ideas are greatly appreciated.
thnkz

Please provide more details on your swap.

Did you use the 2nd gen ECU and harness? Or the 1st gen stuff? More more info is necessary.

OK.

So do you have 12V at the coils on the black/yellow wire when the key is set to IGN?

well i have not tested that with the muti meter so dont know that it is exactly putting out 12v but i have tested this with a testlight and that wire does give off current were as the other wire that leads to ther ecu should not correct?
i am currently moving this car to another location beacuse i no loger have acces to the garage that i was usiing but by monday i will have the car unloaded and will test with a multi-meter to make sure that it has the right amount of voltage

Did you swap all the harnesses or just the emissions harness? It is generally easier to swap only the emissions harness and then run your own fuel pump, CAS and coil wires.

Do you have a wiring diagram for the 2nd gen?

i hve taken the full harness except for the fuel pump or door harness a it was labelled in a diagram and have hardwired the pupm in myself just with 12v supply and ground. do i need to wire up the other four wires that come off the punmp sutch as fuel level? i can not see this being my problembut has been suggested. how would i go about wirring in the coils becaus if i do that im sure that will be the last of the issue and i do have a few diagrams but wouldlove to see any ones that u have as several of mine are incunclusive

thankz -james
