13b Streetport Complications
Hello everyone,
After messing around with some simple stuff as per SgtBlue's advice (thanks heaps), feeling confident to start a rebuild + street port of my 13b turbo. I picked up some solid info from mazdatrix so I'm fairly comfortable with my ability to rebuild but I was wondering if anybody has experience with streetporting 13bs and would be able to tell me common pitfalls, especially from when you were new or inexperienced with rotary engines/13bs. To clarify, I plan to take the stock 13b turbo from my 91 FC import, remove it, disassemble it, street port the housings as per instructions from mazdatrix, rebuild it and reassemble the rest of the engine well - I expect I'll have to strip most of it to get the engine out. Anywhere in this process where you guys have made mistakes (especially expensive ones!) that I should look out for?
Thanks for being so helpful and friendly so far, really appreciate it. If anybody would like the rear seats (the half-seat thing - I'm not sure anyone taller than 3ft actually fits in them) or seatbelts from my gen 5 FC, please let me know - I have no use for them. They're free but I'm in Australia so I suspect Auspost might kill you on shipping.
Cheers
