Question 13B powered Lotus Europa

I have a 69 Lotus Europa that the previous owner swapped in a 13B rotary out of an 87 RX-7. I bought it non running but have since spent alot of time getting it to the point I am at now.
Originally it wasn't getting fuel so I swapped in a spare S.U fuel pump I had for my MGA. I was able to fire and run for a couple seconds.
Then I lost spark somehow and spent two days diagnosing that....Just solved that problem(broken power wire to main coil).
Now The car will run if I squirt fuel into the throttle body but will not run by itself. It doesn't seem to be getting fuel....I am pretty sure that is because the fuel pump I've got hooked up is far from correct.
So now I want to find a suitable pump....I can't run a stock rx-7 pump because I cannot use an internal tank fuel pump in the lotus....Rx-7 haynes manual says I need 32-40 psi for fuel pressure....is that correct? Do I need a particular kind o pump??? Any suggestions??
Thanks

i like holley red pumps. you'll need a pressure regulator too.

Do holley red pumps come in different PSI? Or are all pumps the same and I need a regulator to keep it between 32 and 40 psi???
Where can I get said pump and regulator?

Cool car and motor package.

Is the car running carbs or the stock 86 FI system? I'm thinking FI due to the fuel pressure you mentioned. Does the pump turn on at all?

FWIW, Grassroots Motorsports magazine did an article on a Rotary Powered Spitfire some time ago. I don't remember if they used FI or carbs though. The article might be online on their web site.

Thanks....To my knowledge the engine is stock...Definately still FI. The pump I currently have in it(an old british S.U pump....designed for carb) does turn on and pump when I crank it, but it doesn't seem to pump as fast as it should I think because the pressure might be too much for it.

I saw a car with this swap in Richmond, VA years ago. Was it a US car?

you will need an external FI pump, MANY AFMKT options, (no holley red pump wont work, internally regulated at 7psi, carb only pump) should be looking for a walbro external in line pump or similar.
