12a Nikki Carb mystery, help if you can

While rebuilding my nikki, i followed the instructions religiously, so after removing the jets and air bleeds and labeling them properly, i went to turn over the carb and a check weight fell from out of it. Every document i refered to showed only two check ***** and weights. so this third weight is a mystery, i have no idea where it could have came from and no information online as to what it was or where it went. The acc pump inlet and outlet check weights and ***** are exactly where they should be, the weight that goes under the nozzle is the short one and the longer weight right over the acc pump, but this third weight, which is the same length as the acc pump weight only slightly larger diameter. The only place this third weight would fit is below the bleed for the richer solenoid valve, if this is where it actually went i dont know. Help if you know.

I just rebuilt mine a couple of months ago. Don't recall anyt such. Put it back together and see what you get. Maybe that was the problem.

I dont think it ever belonged there, or why it was even there. I did notice slightly larger jets. I dont remember the sizes but think its 93 mains and 170 seconds. As far as im aware there isnt any porting done.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I have the exact same issue. I rebuilt my carb and while doing so I noticed a weight that was not described in anything at all. My car idles better now but runs like crap between 2500-4500rpm unles under WOT. I did convert to mechanicals. Any thoughts?

A weber looks really nice on a rotary and are quite a bit more simple. Really opens up the engine compartment. Passing emissions I'm not too sure about...
