hi guys bought my first rx7 today 84 gsl with a 12a carb was off when i got it but i no it runs off starting fluid and the comprsion is good what is the best and cheapest carb replacment route i still have the stock one but i think its no good.

 

The best and cheapest carb for your car is the one already in your possession, its free, and rebuild kits are under $50, you can't buy a fully working carb for $50

 

can i find a rebuild kit at normal autopart places or buy offline and since it was already off do i need a plate between it and intake dont know if they came with 1

you can get the rebuild kit at a local auto parts shop or online (i think rockauto.com) sells them. there should be a black phenolic spacer between the carb and the manifold.
