12a 6port ?
12a 6port ?
I am thinking of buying a 83 rx-7 original 35k mile engine from out of town for $500.Owner could only say it was a12'a with carb and dist..Was wondering if this would be a good engine to start a project. Is this a 6 port ?I am geting conflicting info about this, what is hp 110?Is this engine hard to find parts for.I only want between 90 & 140 hp.I am planing on putting this eng. in a vw trike I am gathering parts to build this winter.I want clean simple good looking eng. as it will be the highlight of trike.

It is almost certainly not a 12A 6 port. They were very rare and not sold in North America.
The old 12A engines are basically bulletproof. It make 110HP (or was that 100?) and about as much torque and will last forever.

Is this a better eng. than a 13b?What do you think of price?

Define "better".
13B engines make more power but are also larger, which may present a problem if you are mounting it in another vehicle.
The price seems fine.
